Graduation Requirements English I, II, III, & IV Math I, Math II, Math III, and AFM or PreCalculus Earth Science, Biology, & a Physical Science class (PhyScience, Physics, & Chem) World History, American History I, American History II, & Civics World History, Turning Points, AP US History, & Civics Health & PE 6 electives Students have to chose to do 1 of these!

Cluster/Concentration

Cluster/Concentration Be deciding on your choice—CLUSTER or CONCENTRATION! Make sure you are taking the appropriate classes! It is necessary for GRADUATION! You may complete more than one pathway! If there are questions, please ask your advisor or come to GUIDANCE!

Let’s Look at CLUSTERS! A “Cluster” refers to 4 classes within the CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION UMBRELLA that are STRONGLY related. Most of you took a COMPUTER CLASS as a FRESHMAN: either MS Word, Powerpoint, & Publisher OR Career Management —these are ENHANCEMENT classes that fit into ANY Cluster! You decide on a CLUSTER based on your interest/career goals. Some clusters that we offer here at RHS are: Agricultural Clusters (Animal Science, Horticulture, & Ag Mechanics), Foods & Nutrition, Construction, Drafting, Health Science, Engineering, and Computer/Business Clusters.

Let’s Look at some Examples: Ag Science Applications, Animal Science I, Animal Science II, & (MS WPPP or CMngt) Ag Science Applications, Animal Science I, Animal Science II, and Horticultural I (MS WPPP or CMngt), Foods I, Food II, & (Teen Living or Personal Finance) Core & Sustainable, Electrical Trades I, Electrical Trades II, and (MS WPPP or CMngt) Core & Sustainable, Electrical Trades I, Electrical Trades II, and Drafting I (Principles of Business or MS WPPP or MS EA), Accounting I, Entrepreneurship I, and CTE Adv. Studies Health Teen Relations, Health Science I, Health Science II, and (MS WPPP or CMngt) PLEASE NOTE that a LEVEL II —must be taken to meet the requirement for a CTE CLUSTER! THERE ARE TONS OF COMBINATIONS TO MEET THIS REQUIREMENT FOR GRADUATION! If you have specific questions, please ASK either your HR teacher or a COUNSELOR!

Let’s Look at CONCENTRATIONS! A “CONCENTRATION” refers to 4 classes outside the CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION UMBRELLA that are STRONGLY related. You decide on a CONCENTRATION based on your interest/career goals. Some clusters that we offer here at RHS are: Band Chorus Visual Art OR a combination of the “FINE ART” Classes Dance Academic Areas -such as 4 classes -Honors/AP classes/VPS/Career & College Promise/World Languages **can’t mix and match the above classes either**

Let’s Look at some Examples: Band I, Band II, Band III, and Band IV Band I, Band II, Marching Band, and Music Appreciation Art I, Art II, Art III, and Art IV Concert Choir Beginning, Concert Choir Intermediate, Girls Choir Proficient, Girls Choir Advanced Dance I, Dance II, Dance III, and Dance IV Art I, Dance I, Marching Band, and Concert Choir Beginning Spanish I, Spanish II, Spanish III, and Spanish IV AP Biology, AP Psychology, AP US History, and AP Calculus AB There is NO LEVEL II requirement in the “FINE ARTS” Concentration. THERE ARE TONS OF COMBINATIONS TO MEET THIS REQUIREMENT FOR GRADUATION! If you have specific questions, please ASK either your HR teacher or a COUNSELOR!
