Persuasive Writing

Reminder PERSUASIVE WRITING is when a writer takes a position on a topic and presents reasons and examples to influence another person’s actions or thoughts. Effective persuasive writing requires a writer to clearly state an opinion and to supply reasons and specific examples that support the opinion. You want to prove that you are right!

Writing Prompt Money can’t buy happiness Write a multi-paragraph persuasive composition agreeing or disagreeing with the statement.

Examples Refer to Rubric Provide a mark on all categories

can money buy happynis. That is a Diffect Question can money buy happynis. That is a Diffect Question. In some pointa it can and can’t. money is good for buying you things but it can’t you friends. Money can’t buy you everything But it can buy you many things that can make you happy for a shrot time. like lets say a new video game. it makes you happy for a short time then you get board.personaly when I get board am unhappy. Thenyou get anthore thing And it makes you board and rince and ripet. friends are something that you can’t buy and friends make you happy. you also cant go to wallmart and buy happyness in a can. But if you don’t have money then you can’t do things with your friends In some ways money can buy you happness. But not the happneas you think of.

“Money can buy happiness” is a saying we hear all the time and many people debate whether its true or not. Personally, I think that whoever made this saying had little to no idea what they were talking about. Sure no one wants to be in dept and no one enjoys not being to pay for things they want but that does not mean they can’t be happy. One of the main things that contributes to our overall happiness is family and friends. These are the people that can cheer you up when your down and make you laugh over things that aren’t even that funny. Its those precious memories you make with people you love that make people happy, not how much money is in the bank. If I were to choose from having a small amount of money but lots of friends and having all the money in the world but no one to share it with, I would definelty pick the first. Having everything you could ever want would be a ton of fun but after awhile I think I would feel lonely. Also I would always be searching for more meaning in life when what I was actually missing was people to share it with. In conclusion, I think that what makes people most happy is what they do in life, and who they choose to spend time with, not how much money they have.
