What is Poverty?

Poverty- the state or condition of having little or no money, goods, or means of support

Causes: Parents educational level Employment in family Income Family Structure

Stats: 39% of children live in low-income familes and 18% live in poverty The American Poverty rate is about 12.5%, but the child poverty rate is around 20%
