At college, both his end of year films were submitted to the Ulster Media Showcase, where he won 3rd prize in 2009 with Untitled Action Film and 1st prize in 2010 with Pirates Versus Nazis

Northern lights film management structure LIAM HIRRELL - CAMERA OPERATOR Liam is an accomplished camera operator, editor, and a live event large screen specialist. Liam has shot a wide range of projects for Northern Lights Film as well as freelancing for TG4, Donegal Rally, and the National Handball Championships. Liam has a wealth of experience in live music events filming concerts across the UK & Ireland for Clannad, Altan, Mike Denver and Nathan Carter, The Proclaimers, Babyshambles, the Fratellis and The Levellers.

Northern lights film management structure ORLA WALSH - PRODUCER AND DIRECTOR Orla has worked in the audio-visual industry for 20 years as a director, producer, script writer and researcher delivering programmes for RTÉ, Channel 4, the Irish Film Board and other European TV stations. Orla has recently returned to us after being briefly stolen away to direct several episodes of TV3’s new show, Red Rock

Northern lights film history In 2014 Northern Lights Film was established. Prior to this they had two separate companies which shared the same directors. One was Inishowen Videos which based it's work on filming weddings. And the other was called 3-Arrows Media which did more of the corporate filming. They decided to merge the two companies to save on two sets of budgetary needs, e.g. Accountancy costs, general overheads and business costs. They relaunched with Frances Harvey, whose role was Marketing Director. Prior to working with Northern Lights Film she was a graphic designer, so ended up doing graphics for the company and it's logo. As their reputation keeps growing and growing they take on more and more roles within their company.

Services they provide- TV In May of 2015, Northern Lights took over production of weekly magazine show, Derry County Matters, for IrishTV. Since then they have produced two hour-long specials for the channel; Lisa's Christmas Party, and the Ulster Wedding Showcase. In August of 2016 they took on a second weekly commission to produce Donegal County Matters.

Negative points When Northern Lights Film was set up in 2014, they also had a Marketing Director - Frances Harvey, who left the country recently. So now they don't have anyone in that position. I think that now that they don't have a marketing director, their marketing isn't the best. I don't think they promote themselves as much as they should.
