Open Mind Diagram

This can be a full or side profile. Trace Open-Mind First, create an outline of the character’s head. This can be a full or side profile.

Three Images Use three images that symbolize the character. Each image should represent a dominant character trait for your character.

Some unacceptable images: Smiley face Sad face Any type of emoticon Heart Broken heart Question mark

Brainstorm Around Image Around each image, use four brainstorm statements that prove the dominant character trait. All brainstorms MUST relate to image and no synonyms! Brainstorms must be 3 words or less –(ideally, one word)

Four Citations Quote 1: direct characterization or Quote 2: indirect characterization Directly cite four examples from the text that clearly represent the character’s attitude and actions. Each example must relate to the character you chose and be parenthetically cited.
