Early Civilizations, Governments, & Religions 11.3.15

Government Simulation Each group will randomly choose a type of government Each person will randomly choose a role in society You will follow the rules according to your government type and role to come up with a solution to a problem

Government Simulation Period 4 Groups: Jason, Cameron, Sophie, Faith, Joe, Alan, & Kayla Yuming, Ethan, Camden, Daniel, Michelle, Shubham, Allison Makayla, Frederick, Shayna, Kellan, Spencer, Samantha, Delany Rahul, Akhil, Ciara, John, Cassie, Michael, Jessica Simon, Bijon, Tiffany, Katelyn, Megana, Chris, Madison

Government Simulation Period 5 Groups: Kobe, Ian, Amy, Cooper, Annie, Mason, Isabel Priscilla, Renee, Sayaka, Grace, Julia, Lauren, Sharon Matt, Dora, Gracyn, Olivia, Thea, Dawson, Melanie Brian, Ryan, Kate, Beck, Shami, Sarah, Jacqueline Isa, Alex, Mara, Nate, Keya, Evan, Jessica

Government Simulation For each problem, your group must come up with a solution in 5 minutes. You can’t borrow $ and you cannot spend more than you have. Review your government’s rules – you cannot deviate from these! Each city/state has 50,000 citizens

Problem #1: No Rain For 3 weeks, there’s been no rain. The crops are dying, and the only way to save them is to build canals from the nearby river to get water to the farms in the city-state.

Problem #2: Civil Conflict Because of the lack of rain, people began stealing each other’s crops, and now fights break out each day. People must stop stealing from and fighting with each other.

Problem #3: Foreign Invasion A neighboring city-state has learned of the civil conflicts in your city-state They are marching on your city with an army of 5,000 soldiers and will be there in one month’s time Keep in mind, if you have hired soldiers to keep the peace, you can re-assign them to the war, but then there is no one to keep the peace inside your city

The End!

Reflection Answer the questions thoughtfully Yes, they need to be complete sentences
