Energy that can travel directly through space in the form of waves. Radiation Energy that can travel directly through space in the form of waves.

Wave Parts Wavelength-The distance between the crest of one wave and the crest of the next wave. Amplitude-The height of a wave. Frequency-The number of waves that pass a given point in a certain amount of time.

Electromagnetic Spectrum

Wavelength vs Frequency Red has longest wavelength and lowest frequency of visible light. Violet has the shortest wavelength and the highest frequency of visible light.

Making it Simple. Ultraviolet has slightly shorter wavelength than violet. Infrared has a greater wavelength than red.
