Unit 36: Interview Techniques LO1

LO1 Preparing for your interviews You will be given an interview to analyse – this will be from a variety of journalistic contexts e.g. print, television, radio, online, news or sport. What you need to analyse! Question Types Interviewing Style Interview Structure Communication Skills You only have 1 lesson to analyse your interview – SO WORK HARD!

Writing Your Interview Once you have analysed your interview, you will need to write questions about it to ask your partner for a filmed and marked interview. Your questions need to address the interviewing style, question types, interview structure and communication skills. You only have 1 lesson to write your questions ready for your filmed interview next lesson. e.g. how would you describe Jonathan Ross’ interviewing style? The person you are questioning won’t see the interview until they are being interviewed themselves.
