Introducsing Career Clusters Guiding Question: How are jobs related to one another?

Do Now Review Life is full of unexpected events that can have far-reacing consequences. Changing careers is definitely one of those things that can result from an unexpected occurrence. Let’s hear some of your writings about what could lead to that.

Introducing Career Clusters. When changing careers, it does not have to always be a drastic shift. There are quite a few different jobs that relate to the one you will choose when you’re an adult. Over the course of this week, you will be learning about career clusters. The goal is to collect information that will culminate with you putting together a project outlining your plan concerning your career choice and how you will get there.

Careeer Cluster Interest Survey (20 minutes) Now you will complete a survey that will guage your interest in the different career cluster. Let’s go over the directions together so that we are all clear on what is expected. If more time is needed to complete the survey, it can be provided.

Career Cluster Notes Now we will start learning about the different career clusters. You are about to do two things: 1) watch a series of videos that cover the career clusters; 2) take notes on information presented about each career cluster. Your notes need to include information about: what that career cluster deals with related careers within that cluster required skills, degrees, experience for that cluster related interests for that cluster. Note-taking paper will be provided for you.
