Monday, March 6 Compare – verb [kuh m-pair] Academic Vocabulary – Week 5 Compare – verb [kuh m-pair]  estimate, measure, or note the similarity or dissimilarity between Bell Work – Argumentative Essay Consider the SAT Essay. What rhetorical devices, persuasive, or stylistic elements could an author could use to build his or her argument? List as many as you can. Reminder - Scheduling in Counseling Office Wednesday

Tuesday, March 7 Academic Vocabulary – Week 5, Day 2 Re-write definition in your own words. Do not include the words already in the definition. Compare – verb [kuh m-pair] estimate, measure, or note the similarity or dissimilarity between Bell Work – Achieving Goals Think about the goals you have set for yourself. How does the possibility of not achieving those goals make you feel? What if someone told you couldn’t achieve your goals and dreams? How would you feel? How would you react? (4-5 sentences)

Today’s Assignment: SAT Reading passage: As a group, agree on the correct answer for each of the SAT Reading questions. Choose one person from the group to enter the answers into the clicker. Choose one paper from the group, and put each group member’s name on it and turn it in. Poems: Annotate the poems as a group. Your annotated copy should demonstrate a detailed analysis of each poem. Include interpretations of the lines in your annotations.

Wednesday, March 8 Academic Vocabulary – Day 3 Choose one of the options listed and complete the Day 3 box. No Bell Work today. We will be going to the counseling office for scheduling after attendance is taken.

Friday, March 10 – Academic Vocabulary – Day 4 Choose one of the options listed and complete the Day 4 box. No Bell Work. Turn your Bell Work paper in. Today’s Assignment – Work on SAT practice tests in Khan Academy.
