Welcome to My Class Our Class Rules

Our Class Rules Respect others. Be honest. Care. Give put ups not put downs. Do your personal best. Explain the definition of each of any new words. Give examples of a put up (saying something positive). Give examples of a put down (saying something negative).

Respect others. Our Class Rules Give examples of how we show respect and how we show disrespect to others.

Be honest. Our Class Rules Give students an example of cheating. Ask what it would mean to be honest when someone tries to cheat or lie.

Our Class Rules Care. Ask children to give examples of how they can show that they care about each other, their school, and their work.

Give put ups not put downs Our Class Rules Give put ups not put downs Describe the difference between put ups and put downs. Ask each child to say a put up about someone else in the room. Ask each child how he feels when he hears a put up.

Do your personal best. Our Class Rules Ask each child to describe how and what he does when he is doing his personal best at school.
