Educational or training regiments for my top three zoology careers To be an ornithologist, you must have a bachelors in zoology. You can also get a Ph.D. or doctorate degree in zoology for a higher salary bonus or a higher job offer. Math and science are also needed. To be a herpetologist, you need to get at least a bachelors degree in biology or zoology. You would have to get courses In herpetology. You would need to know different languages for if you go to a different country for field or conservation purposes. Math and science would also be good for being a Herpetologist. To be an epidemiologist, you must have a doctorate or Ph.D. in outbreak investigations, data analysis, public health, or lab research.
