Educational or training regiments for my top three zoology careers To be an ornithologist, you must have a bachelors in zoology. You can also get a Ph.D. or doctorate degree in zoology for a higher salary bonus or a higher job offer. Math and science are also needed. To be a herpetologist, you need to get at least a bachelors degree in biology or zoology. You would have to get courses In herpetology. You would need to know different languages for if you go to a different country for field or conservation purposes. Math and science would also be good for being a Herpetologist. To be an epidemiologist, you must have a doctorate or Ph.D. in outbreak investigations, data analysis, public health, or lab research. Schools that offer degrees for my two top favorite careers in zoology Herpetology degrees are offered at North Carolina State University, the University of Florida, and the University of Wisconsin.
