The Coordinator as Administrator Professional development series for Parish catechetical leaders

Lead Like Jesus What new insights are you discovering on the journey of learning to lead like Jesus? Just as the first disciples learned that Jesus' way of thinking and living differed from their own, we also discover that following Jesus requires us to grow and change. Each day provides new opportunities to learn Jesus' ways of thinking, speaking, and living. As we embrace these opportunities to be taught by Him, we will discover more about ourselves, about others, and about leadership. In the process we are transformed to be more like Him. What will you learn today? They did not understand that he was telling them about his Father. So Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me." — John 8:27-28 Prayer: Jesus, teach me to lead like You, following Your example of listening for and following the Father. In Your name I pray, amen.

With the Lord as our Shepherd Loving God, we pray for all who direct the work of others. Grant us diligence, skill, and an understanding of the variety of human responses to challenge and pressure. May we use our gifts of leadership with justice and with mercy, and with humility acknowledging that we are your children. Grant us the wisdom to enable each of us to give of ourselves in an environment that offers humanity and satisfaction in meeting the needs of others. We pray too for those whom we serve. May they receive your blessing with a living and active faith. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
