A Great Social Experiment GA - a model society Strict rules on land & work Colonists carefully selected - hardworking people down on their luck & who had skills to make the colony a success 35 families chosen - no debtors; farmers, carpenters, tailors, & bakers Charity families received land, weapons, tools, seed, & food to feed them until the 1st harvest Colonists in turn had to clear land, raise crops, build houses & public structures, & FOLLOW RULES!
