Question 13

Question 13 Trapezoid ABCD is shown on this coordinate grid. Translate trapezoid ABCD 6 units to the left and 5 units up and graph the image of ABCD on the grid. For this one, the students are graphing a trapezoid that is being moved along the graph. For this, they will not need to use a calculator. To translate a shape means to move it according to the specifications. In this case, it is saying that everything is moving 6 squares to the left and 5 units up.

Question 12 To translate a shape means to move it according to the specifications. In this case, it is saying that everything is moving 6 squares to the left and 5 units up. To show this move, each vertex (corner piece) is moved, and then the lines are connected to show a new trapezoid. A started at (-3, -2). After moving it, it is now at (-9, 3) B started at (-1, 1). After moving it, it is now at (-7, 6) C started at (2, 1). After moving it, it is now at (-4, 6) D started at (5, -2). After moving it, it is now at (1, 3)
