Consumer Fitness – Review and Collaboration Session We will begin at 4:00 pm! While you wait, jot down a few of your favorite commercials or advertisements and think about what technique is being used…

How do advertisers persuade consumers to buy their products?

Money…does it make the world go ‘round? What is the goal of creating a personal budget?

Bills, bills, and more bills! Fixed Expenses Variable Expenses

Is Kara budgeting wisely? Kara has a part-time job where she earns $100 per week. Her monthly expenses are: Car Insurance - $100/month Gas – approximately $60/month Cell phone - $50/month Savings - $50/ month Last weekend, Kara went back to school clothes shopping and spent $125 at Abercrombie, $30 on a cute new pair of pumps, and $15 on lunch with her friends. Has she spent too much on these extras to meet her monthly budget?

Debit v. Credit True or False? 1. When I swipe my debit card, the money gets withdrawn from my own bank account. 2. Using a debit card will help your credit score increase. 3. It doesn’t matter if I can’t pay my credit card bill this month…there’s always next month! 4. I can track my spending on a debit card easier than with a credit card. 5. If I have a $5,000 credit limit, that means I can spend $5,000 each month!
