7th Grade Language Arts Tracy

Mrs. Taylor 20 years experience; 14 in Buford. Graduated from Roswell High School Undergraduate from UGA Graduate degree from Kaplan University’s online program

Expectations Participate: Very relaxed environment. We have many open discussions. Hand raising is not always required. Independent Reading is VERY important. In the end it is 3 test grades. Come prepared: Binder, library book, pen/pencil Respect: Everyone and Everything. Keep the room clean. Website: Check the website. I try to put any homework assignments on there daily. Usually a link to examples, to stories and assignments, journal entries etc. http://bmstaylor.weebly.com/

Overview 2 fiction and 1 nonfiction book required each quarter. Components: Grammar and Mechanics Daily Grammar Practice (DGP) Various grammar units throughout the year Literature Units Relationships Discovery Overcoming Challenges Accepting Others’ Differences Each unit will incorporate a variety of genres including; fiction, non fiction, poetry, myths, and drama Independent Reading 2 fiction and 1 nonfiction book required each quarter.
