Domino Theory The theory that if one nation in Asia falls to communism, the rest will follow

Communism The government owns everything and is responsible for providing equally for all; no social classes

People vote for their government representatives Democracy People vote for their government representatives

Capitalism Individuals and people have the freedom to own their own businesses and make a profit; social classes

Balance of Power Nations of the world strive to have roughly equal power with one another

Proxy War A war started by a major power/country, but they don’t get directly involved
