Warm up Directions: Write at least one paragraph about the prompt below. Are You Crazy Why do people participate in Extreme Sports? Is there one you'd like to try?

Objective & Homework Objective: Given a play, students will be able to infer character motive and compare characters from Antigone in order to analyze a classic greek drama and examine its text features. Homework: Finish Make up work

Agenda Intro & Warm up (15 minutes) Conflicting Motivations Graphic organizers (30-40 minutes) Reading Questions & Check for Understanding (30-40 minutes)

Directions for 268-277 On page 268, fill out the chart and answer the before reading questions (with complete sentences) based on what we have read so far in Antigone. As you read, fill out the chart on page 269 with quotes that shows the character’s motivations on the left and then explain what motivates the characters on the right. Also as you read, answer the 10 key ideas and details questions in the margins. Answer the after you read question on page 277 in a complete sentence. Then write a response for the check for understanding prompt. Make sure that your response is at least 5 sentences in length.
