Background Our history journey to this point has introduced us to the beginning of civilization. Our travels have now taken us the great civilization of Egypt. Now, it is time to gather information we have learned and analyze important Egyptian events like real historians. In this assignment you will be asked to create a newspaper spread that highlights the key components of an important aspect Egyptian history. Let’s show how creative we can be and make Egyptians proud!

Directions For this assignment you will be given a Power Point template that you may manipulate to create a desired front page newspaper spread. Simply follow the directions on the Power Point slide and input the necessary information into the locations labeled. Be creative and have fun! The information in the textbook related to this project can be found on pages 99-128. Use these pages and the notes from class to gather the materials you need!

You will choose ONE of the following as topics for your newspaper spread: The Life of an Everyday Egyptian What do you do for work? What do you do for fun? What is life like as an Egyptian peasant? What would you like to see more of from the government? You may create your own interview questions and answers as well! All of these answers can be found within in the pages of your textbook.
