MUTUAL RESPECT Thursday 19th March

Mutual Respect Mutual Respect is a key British value In Britain we have a tradition of mutual respect

What does mutual respect mean? Mutual respect is when two people may not agree on everything but they don't get upset over little things but are willing to work things out because they care for the other.

Michael Bloomberg: Mayor of New York We may not always agree with every one of our neighbors. That's life. And it's part of living in such a diverse and dense city. But we also recognize that part of being a New Yorker is living with your neighbors in mutual respect and tolerance. It was exactly that spirit of openness and acceptance that was attacked on 9/11, 2001. Michael Bloomberg: Mayor of New York

Group Discussion: Mutual Respect What does mutual respect mean to you? What examples of mutual respect can you think of from your own life? Can you think of any examples of when you haven’t been respected? What did you do about it? What should you do if you are not being treated with respect and fairly?
