Who was Martin Luther? Martin Luther was a German theologian whose writings inspired the Protestant reformation. He was a theologian and Augustinian he was also a monk whose teachings inspired deeply influenced doctrines of protested and other Christian traditions.
What did Martin Luther do? While in his early thirties Luther began to have doubts about the theological basis for the Catholic Church.In the early 16 century Europe, some theologians and scholars were starting to seem to be questioning the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. He fought against the the church and it's surprising power of money and insults.

Why did Martin Luther challenge the Catholic Church? Because he didn't agree with what they did. They said that you had to pay to go to heaven. The church lied and Martin had enough.
How did Martin challenge the Catholic Church? He said to set fire to they're synagogues or schools. Luther also argued that safe conduct on the highways be abolished completely for the Jews and all cash and treasure of silver and gold be taken from them. These fierce comments embarrassed Christians who otherwise admire the reformer.
How did the Catholic Church try to stop Martin Luther? Charles v of Germany gave anyone permission to kill him.
