Grammar pattern Week 23: A run-on sentence is two or more complete sentences (independent clauses) that are not properly joined or separated. A comma splice is a type of run-on sentence in which a comma is used to join two complete sentences (independent clauses).

1st-5th: Agenda Complete Warm Up Complete Monday portion of Grammar Sheet Week 23 Students will use scantrons and complete the first part of their TKAM test.

1st-5th: Agenda Students will get their second portion of TKAM test, the essay portion. They can use their own notes and books to complete the test but no sharing of material. If time permits: Complete Warm Up Complete Week 23 Grammar Sheet, Tuesday portion

6th: Agenda Complete warm up for Monday and Tuesday and Grammar Worksheet Week 23 for Monday and Tuesday. Distribute TKAM video guides and begin watching first 20 minutes of movie HW: Read Ch. 25 and summarize

6th: Agenda Complete Wednesday warm up and grammar worksheet Introduce students to their new mini-project that follows the news article, a character analysis Give students the choice to create a diary, a POV piece, or obituary. Give out assignment sheets and watch next 20 minutes of TKAM in class if time permits. Read Ch. 26 for HW

6th: Agenda Complete Thursday warm up and grammar worksheet Students will meet in the computer lab and begin working on their mini project creating obituary, blog, or POV piece. Read CH. 27 and summarize

1st-5th: Agenda Complete Warm Up Quiz Week 23 Students will analyze art at stations. Each station has a piece and a question. Students are to go station to station and answer them. HW: Students are to pick their favorite piece and write a CRQ answering the question posed

6th: Agenda Students will meet in the computer lab and finish working on their mini project creating obituary, blog, or POV piece. They are to submit it to turnitin.com
