Small Business Small businesses are the backbone of the economy. Creates many new jobs Anything with less then 200 employees is a small business. Small business owner is in charge of everything. Small businesses take a lot of work to keep them open.

Education Learn about the market you are about to enter. Get experience by working for another small business. Talk and ask questions to another small business owner. Look for small businesses in your area. Take business courses at a local college.

Qualifications You need to be a high school graduate. Have experience. know about your field. Must be good with numbers. Need to be a people person.

Job outlook The growth rate is 5.24%. This is a good career to get into because small businesses are always needed. It’s a stable outlook. In 2008 there was 1,685,490 small businesses. Now there are approximately 3,532,787 small businesses according to the growth rate.

Earnings The U.S. average earnings per year for a small business owner is $39,910. The average salary per hour is $19.19

Earnings He earned around $20,000 a year. If his business didn’t make a lot of money he made sure his employees were paid then he took what was left.
