Presentation transcript:

“A” Priority Items Walk Through Procedure “A” priority items are the most critical ones in your Crib. These items require tight inventory controls. You are expected to set Re-Order Points, & adjust Re-Order Qty to make sure stock-outs do NOT occur. You are expected to conduct frequent cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy. In JCIM, usually "A" priority items comprise Items that there are no other alternative stock items to use in place of them. There is no alternate equipment that can be used. There are long lead times for order & delivery. Ideally,  "A" priority items comprise of 5 – 10% of your total inventory, but make up 70 – 85% of the total annual dollar value of usage in your Crib.

“A” Priority Items Walk Through Procedure If you have not reviewed the “TBare Crib Attendant Set Priority Level to Part Record Training” module yet, please click here to go back & review it now.

“A” Priority Items Walk Through Procedure TBare Crib Attendant Set Priority Level to Part Record Training Module ended by showing you how to export your items list from TBare to Excel & filter for specific priority level items. To go along with your regular “0” Bin Cycle Count Walk Throughs, you MUST conduct frequent “A” Priority Items Walk Throughs.

“A” Priority Items Walk Through Procedure Step 1: Export your items list from TBare to Excel.

“A” Priority Items Walk Through Procedure Step 2: Apply filters in Excel for easy analysis.

“A” Priority Items Walk Through Procedure Step 3: Filter down to “A” Priority Items.

“A” Priority Items Walk Through Procedure Step 4: Conduct your “A” Priority Items Walk Through Print off your filtered items list. Undock your scanner. Go to each “A” Priority Item bin. Verify the Qty on Hand & record it on your list. Scan the bin.

“A” Priority Items Walk Through Procedure Step 5: Procede to Check Out Screen. Dock your scanner & sign in as the Cycle Count user Click on “Batch Check Out” All bins that were scanned during your walk through should appear on this screen

“A” Priority Items Walk Through Procedure Step 6: Adjusting Qty on Hand Any items scanned that already show the Qty on Hand that you verified while at the bin do not need to be checked out Please uncheck those items so that they are not checked out If any item that was scanned shows a Qty on Hand different than what you verified while at the bin, then it must be adjusted Click on the “Qty to Check Out” field for that item and adjust the number so that it accurately reflects the current Qty on Hand. Once you have adjusted the necessary quantities and have unchecked items that did not need to be adjusted, click “Check Out” Once you check out, the items that you unchecked will still be on the scanner Please click “Delete File from Scanner” to remove any remaining items You may now log out

“A” Priority Items Walk Through Procedure Step 7: Reviewing Check Out History If you want to view a log of your Cycle Count transactions (items that had to be adjusted), you can use the “Check Out History” feature in TBare In this screen, you can filter on the “Out To” field to find only transactions that were done under the Cycle Count user This list can be printed or exported to Excel under the “File” menu
