Winter in Los Angeles by 3rd Graders

In Los Angeles we don’t see evergreens, instead you’ll see palm trees, tall and lean.

In Los Angeles we don’t see snowflakes way up high. Instead we see color changing leaves pass us by.

Your freezing gives you ice, but when we’re shivering cold, you call it nice.

At least I’m chasing the end of a rainbow. Oh, how I long to build a man out of the snow. At least I’m chasing the end of a rainbow.

It’s not often we get to snowboard and ski, that’s okay we’d rather skateboard and jog for free!

We don’t bundle up for the snow, off to the puddles, splashing we go!

Though we’ll never have a day off for snow, there’s a chance we’ll get rained out by El Nino.
