Agenda Forest County Community Wellness Court Project History Grant Basics Searching for Grants

Forest County Community Wellness Court Project History 2013-2014: Judge Eugene Whitefish recognized and made the decision that Forest County Community as a whole needed a wellness court program. Approached the Forest County Circuit Court Judge, as well as other agencies, to see if they would be willing to work together on this project.

FCCWC Project History, Cont. Forest County Potawatomi Tribal Court staff and Forest County Circuit Court staff shadowed the Leech Lake Wellness Court. FCP Grants Department looked for grant options that would best fit the vision on the team. The team met frequently to collaborate and gather all information that was needed to collaboratively apply for a CTAS planning/implementation grant.

FCCWC Project History, Cont. October 2014: 3 Year Planning/Implementation Grant was awarded to the team July 2015: Team attended NADCP Annual Conference in Washington D.C. June 2016: NADCP Individualized Training Present: Team has enrolled 8 participants into the program
