How do I answer exam questions on the Battle of the Somme? Lesson Aim: To have practised exam technique for the 4, 6 and 10 mark questions. N.B we can then move onto source based questions. TASK: What were the objectives of the Battle of the Somme? Use p235 ‘The plan’ to help. TASK 2: Using the exam guide sheet, write up the answer to this 4 mark question.

Peer Marking Spelling and grammar. Language used. 2 points explained/4 separate points. Give mark out of 4 and briefly explain why awarded.
