Pronouns

What are pronouns? A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun. Pronouns take their meaning from the words they replace. The word or words that a pronoun stands for is called an antecedent.

Examples Leo and Iris made many flip books for their friends. The artists arrived. They displayed their work. The cartoon began. It was funny.

Personal Pronouns Pronouns that refer to people or things. Has two cases - Subject (used in the subject of a sentence or after linking verbs. May be used like a predicate noun.) Ex.
