In-text Citation and Works Cited Rules

Revise your Works Cited entries based on the following correct answers on the hand-out in front of you.

Format the Works Cited Format the WC so that the reader can easily find the different sources: Hanging indent allows the reader to see the first word of the entry easily. Alphabetize the entries so that the reader can find the source quickly.

Format the Works Cited Date is international style: day month year: 30 November 2014. No commas. The whole thing is double spaced. NO extra space between entries. Works Cited title is centered; that is all. Nothing else. Not underlined or bigger than 12 point font.

What’s the idea behind in-text citations? MLA wants the easiest and shortest way to link your research (CDs) in your paper to the Works Cited page. How do we do that?
