Classwork for 2nd Period 3/22/16 Instructions – Due by the end of the period, worth 20 process points. Read History Alive! Pages 491-503 and answer the following questions. Summarize de-segregation of pro sports and the military. Include Executive order 9981. What is CORE, what were their goals? What 4 court cases between 1938 and 1950 led to early de-segregation? How did each of the 4 previously mentioned court cases help de-segregation? What was the Montgomery Bus Boycott, how did King play a role? What is the significance of the Little Rock 9? What was the significance of the Little Rock 9? What were Sit Ins and Freedom Rides? Include SNCC in your explanation.
