Chapter 11 Love and Obey the Lord

Moses tells them to obey and follow the laws of God and to destroy other places where the Canaanites worshipped idols God also promises to protect them from enemies They were allowed to eat animals that they slaughtered in their town, but they were not allowed to drink the blood Everything promised to God was to be eaten in the presence of the Lord in the place he chooses Moses also reminds them to take care of the Levites

What did Moses instruct the people to do? Chapter 9: He instructed them that the Lord would allow the new generation of Israel but not because of their own righteousness. He also instructed them to not repeat the mistake of the Golden Calf in the early chapters of the bible. Chapter 10: Moses had another two tablets with the same ten commandments and repeated them to the new generation of Israelites to follow. Chapter 11:He instructed them to love and obey god with all their hearts and all their souls Chapter 12:He instructed them to break down all temples and places of worship that worshipped other gods in Canaan and to build their own place of worship for God

How did these instructions help the Israelites prepare for entering in? Chapter 9: Reminding that the Israelites were not perfect and that they had made mistakes before allowed the newer generation of Israelites to become much more humble and aware that God was above them as he is perfect Chapter 10: The commandments allowed the Israelites to obey the rules that God had given them Chapter 11: These instructions was to emphasize to trust and love the Lord, also to obey his commands so that they would not be banned from the Promised Land unlike the old generation of Israelites Chapter 12: This was a form of respect and faith to God by destroying the Canaan temples and by finding their own place to worship God after taking over the promised land
