Presentation transcript:

P1 Describe the role internet marketing has within a modern marketing context. Create a LEAFLET You need to consider how the Internet allows certain businesses to give a better service.

Use the following headings… Greater individualisation of market attention Reaching wider and more distant markets Increased information and product impact Mix between on and offline activities Opportunities enhancing marketing effectiveness

Greater individualisation Describe this is in DETAIL (businesses are able to customise web pages based on what the customer has recently purchased or viewed) Give a business example (e.g. Amazon – how do they customise their website? How has the Internet allowed Amazon to do this?) Describe mass customisation (e.g. Dell computers. How does the Internet enable Dell to tailor make each individual computer?)

Wider markets Describe what this is in DETAIL (e.g. being able to sell products/service worldwide and to remote places without the need for a physical presence) Find statistics / examples as evidence Give a business example (e.g. Amazon, Tesco – basically any global business)

Product impact Describe what this is in DETAIL Businesses can provide additional information (find a business example) How does the Internet help businesses to give a better service through increased product information?

On line and Offline Activities Again, describe this in detail Enhancing Marketing Effectiveness For example businesses can now communicate directly with the customer online. How has this helped businesses to improve their services?

Remember Include business examples Explain each “role” in detail Underline any changes you make from your draft work
