Teaser for A snoodle’s TALE This Veggie tale movie teaches a valuable lesson to children about bullying and self worth. This lesson is intended for children ages 2-8, but can be enjoyed at all ages. It has a Christian background and works very well for a home or Sunday school lesson on bullying. In this clip, the author describes the lesson to be learned from this tale. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyy1_SAFtvM

A snoodle’s tale summary: Part 1 The Snoodle’s Tale is told in the style of Dr. Suess. The story is about a snoodle that is born with a backpack that contains paints, a kazoo, and wings. The snoodle was excited about all the possibilites that he could do with his talents. He then tries to use his talents, and others make fun of him. Others paint pictures of his foolishness and put them in his backpack so he will remember how silly he looked. His backpack becomes heavy, and he becomes very sad. He decided to leave town. 1:10, 2:12, 4:50 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdFhLLhYXbE

A snoodle’s Tale summary: Part 2 The snoodle leaves town. He decides to hike up a mountain to be alone. He runs into an old man who is kind to him. He finds out that the big , old nice man made him with his special things. Play 1:20 to 5:24 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRFsg50lykk

Question guide What actions in this movie were bullying? What reaction did the snoodle have when others laughed at him? How did the old man help the snoodle know what he was good at? What are some gifts or talents that you have been given? How should you use your talents?

Draw a picture or create a collage of what would be in your backpack if you were born with the tools for what you are good at?
