Black Widow: Visualizing

Visualizing Visualizing is a tool to be used WHILE you read to help you “see” what you are reading about. If you read an entire article and then go back to visualize, you aren’t really using it correctly. If you don’t understand a paragraph and then reread it to visualize, it might help you unlock the meaning of the piece.

Mr. Kern DOES… < We DO…

You DO…

Visualizing: When you visualize, you must include at least 4 or 5 little drawings in each box for that paragraph or two that you have visualized. The drawings DO NOT need to be perfect, but they must “tell the story” of the passage.

HULK: Achieve 3000

HULK Group… MUST COMPLETE one sheet for every lesson that you complete. Don’t forget to include the title of the article.

HULK Group… MUST COMPLETE one sheet for every lesson that you complete. Don’t forget to use the rubric to add the symbols/ words. How has Detroit changed from the 1800s to the 1970s to the present day? What caused these changes to take place? Be sure to use details from the article in your answer. Detroit has changed from the 1800s to the 1970s to the present day. These changes took place because many of the immigrants have taken jobs in local service-oriented business including shops and restaurants according to the article. Also, according to the article, city officials have put a lot of money into developing Detroit over the past 15 years. They have used this money to open Latino-themed shops and restaurants. In addition, the article tells us that the Latino population has risen significantly and they are improving the communities. Because of the money being put into the community and the number of immigrants coming in and doing their part, Detroit is really changing. ME

Closing When do you visualize?
