The United States fought against the spread of Communism during the Cold War. USA

Cuba became a communist country under the leadership of Fidel Castro.

The Soviet Union tried to spread communism as widely as possible. USSR The Soviet Union tried to spread communism as widely as possible.

Italy united with the USA to fight the USSR and communism.

North Korea’s communist power was supported by the USSR.

South Korea South Korea avoided becoming a communist country with the help of the USA during the Korean War.

West Germany was protected and influenced by the USA.

East Germany was controlled by the USSR and was communist-run.

The US provided Turkey with money and support to prevent the USSR from taking over.

The US provided Greece with money and support to prevent the USSR from taking over.
