Parable of the good Samaritan Priest: a person whose office it is to perform religious rites, and esp. to make sacrificial offerings. Had to remain clean. Levite: A person from the Tribe of Levi. These people were temple helpers who had to remain clean.

Samaritans Samaritan: they were outcast people because they were of mixed ethnic and religious backgrounds. They were not fully Jew and so many Jews did not like them.
