An interview with Walt Disney and Nick Park about animation history By: Tucker
Tucker: Hello. I am Tucker and today I am interviewing Walt Disney, a specialist in animation. My first question for you Walt, what role do you play in animation history? Walt Disney[Mr.G]: Well I was the first animator to make a synchronized sound cartoon called Steamboat Willie in 1928.
Tucker: I did not know that. Did you have any CGI films? Walt Disney (Mr.G)Yes. Disney made the first feature length CGI film called Toy Story.
Tucker: Toy story. I love that movie Tucker: Toy story? I love that movie! How many artists did it take to make Snow White And The 7 Dwarfs? Walt Disney[Mr.G]: It actually took between 750 to 1,000 artists to make that movie!
Tucker: Oh my gosh. That’s a lot of artists Tucker: Oh my gosh! That’s a lot of artists. Did you make any movies that won an Academy Award? Walt Disney[Mr.G]. Yes one movie is Flowers And Trees in 1932.
Tucker: Oh I didn’t know that Tucker: Oh I didn’t know that. Do you know what the first animated movie in animation history was called? Walt Disney[Mr.G]: Yes I do. It was called Humorous Phases Of Funny Faces made in 1906.
Tucker: Who was the first animator? Walt Disney[Mr.G]: Nobody actually knows who the first animator was.
Tucker: Cool! Did you create animation? Walt Disney[Mr.G]: No. I was a big part of it but I didn’t create animation.
Tucker: Are any of your characters famous? Walt Disney [Mr.G]: Well Mickey Mouse was the first animated character to receive a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

Tucker: cool! What is the first claymation movie? Nick Park [Mr.G]: It is The Adventures of Mark Twain.
Tucker: I didn't know that Tucker: I didn't know that. How many seconds of film did you get each day? Nick Park [Mr.G]: I only got 1 to 3 seconds of film everyday.
Tucker: ONLY 1 TO 3 SECONDS. WOW!!!!! Is Chicken Run important? Nick Park [Mr.G]: It is important. It was actually the most successful stop motion animation feature.
Tucker: I did not know that Tucker: I did not know that. My last question; how long did it take to film Wallace And Gromit? Nick Park [Mr.G]: It took 7 years to film Wallace and Gromit.
Tucker: I took that long to film one movie!!? Nick Park [Mr.G]: Yes.
