Prewriting and Planning help to generate and focus ideas Reflection on the topic Brainstorming and research Developing the thesis Aspects of the audience Clarification of what you are communicating Editing, Grouping, and Outlining

Writing begins with the process of formalizing the initial ideas Follow the outline Formulate ideas in paragraph form Let the ideas flow

Revising and Formatting Refine and clarify information Power of writing lies in revising Importance of reviewing a paper with “fresh” eyes Format dependent upon purpose and audience
