1. Make your works cited entries first Check the Purdue at OWL site– this will help you format You need to include the url and the type of source it is. The URL will be the very last thing in the entry after the date of access surrounded by < > (angle brackets). Thus: Editor, author, or compiler name (if available). Name of Site. Version number. Name of institution/organization affiliated with the site (sponsor or publisher), date of resource creation (if available). Medium of publication. Date of access. <URL address>.

a page on a website For an individual page on a Web site, list the author or alias if known, followed by the information covered above for entire Web sites. *Remember to use n.p. if no publisher name is available and n.d. if no publishing date is given. After you have perfect MLA entries: You now know what information goes into parenthesis. It is the FIRST WORD or WORDS of the entry and the page number. In electronic sources, there is no page number. Some MLA guidelines say you may not even have to cite electronic sources, it is up to the instructor. YOU MUST AT THIS SCHOOL.
