Discussion Preparation Use the atlas, The Human Record (document reader on the black rolly cart), and your text book (as a team) to research the following on the Arab world: Economic Development Geographic Advantages Geographic Challenges Cultural Developments Regional Conflicts Begin discussion among your table team on the “value” of the Arab world? Is the region valuable? Why or why not? In what areas is it most valuable? In what areas is it the least?

Taking Sides Using your gathered evidence, you will be placed on one of the following sides. The Arab world is valuable based on its geographic features.
