Bell work for Week of February 29

Monday, February 29 Parallel ideas are often signaled by pairs of words like either/or, neither/nor, both/and, not only/but also. These correlative conjunctions require equal grammatical units after both parts of the conjunction. Correct the faulty parallelism in the following sentences. 1. The food here is not only exceptionally fresh, but its price is also very reasonable. 2. Good study practices are not so much about working hard, but rather how well you use your time.

Tuesday, March 1- Words and Expressions Commonly Misused Correct the error or write “C” for correct. Decisions of the Supreme Court effect the lives of many people. The phrase the golden touch is an allusion to the myth of King Midas. Jackie was kind of disappointed that she didn’t make the team. The guitar sounds like it is out of tune. The pizza was divided among the four of us. Is this the movie which stars Leonardo DiCaprio? I don’t want to discuss this any further.
