Sports Logos

Pop Art Movement Lesson: Sports Logos Objectives: To create a unique logo for a made up sports team. Materials: Drawing paper, Drawing Pencils, Colored Pencils, Markers Focus/Model: Sports Logo Images Vocabulary: Logo, Graphic Design, Team, Minimalism Procedure: First think about and create your own unique sports team. (It can be any sport, i.e. football, baseball, figure skating, horse racing, etc.). Then you will create and draw a logo to represent that team. Finally it will colored with either colored pencils or markers. Evaluation: Did the student show an understanding of the artistic concepts taught? Did the student use time and materials wisely? Did the student follow directions and the guidelines? Did the student create a piece of artwork of a unique sports logo?
