Abstain- (dictionary.com) verb (used without object) 1.to hold oneself back voluntarily, especially from something regarded as improper or unhealthy (usually followed by from): to abstain from eating meat. 2.to refrain from casting one's vote: a referendum in which two delegates abstained.

Abstain- (wikipedia) is a term in election procedure for when a participant in a vote either does not go to vote (on election day) or, in parliamentary procedure, is present during the vote, but does n ot cast a ballot.

Examples of Abstain: Choosing not to vote. When choosing not to do something When choosing not to have something.

Brevity- (dictionary.com) noun 1.shortness of time or duration; briefness : the brevity of human life. 2.the quality of expressing much in few words
