How many pieces of evidence should you use from each passage? Describe the relationship between reading the passages and writing your essay. How do you know you used accurate evidence from the passages? Which is more important and why: the length of your essay or what’s in it? What’s the best way to use your FSA planning sheet? Left – Evidence | Right – Reasons 3. Ask questions as you read. Does this prove or explain what I’m focused on? How? Jot down evidence that proves or explains what you’re focused on. Group similar evidence into 3 reason categories (body) Let’s try it: Underline the part of the prompt that helps you Narrow your focus. 2. Make your 2-Column planning sheet. 3. The Steinbeck Society has asked you to write a blog post about whether or not George and Lennie have a positive relationship. Use information from the Of Mice and Men passage set in your essay.
