“The Veldt” Response Questions At what line does George start to believe there is a problem? Explain. Who is to blame for the way the Hadley family is now? Explain, using a quote from the story to support your answer. What is the importance of George’s wallet being inside the nursery? Predict what will happen based on that line.

Discussion Groups Pick one statement for your group. Find two quotes that support the statement, and explain each. Wendy and Peter are neurotic. George and Lydia are neurotic. Too much convenience is bad. All actions have consequences. Your mind can control your body. The Hadleys have been troubled for a while. George and Lydia are bad parents. Wendy and Peter are lazy.

Homework - Practice Test Complete the practice test questions in the handout. If you bring them, completed, on the day of the test, you will get extra credit. Remember, Notebooks are also due 10/2
