ANCIENT SUMER & EGYPT Wrestling and other sports were encouraged Dancing was popular at festivals and religious ceremonies

ANCIENT CHINA Exercise and meditation were practised for fitness and health.

Ancient Greece/Athens Education stressed the importance of the development of the whole person- body & mind Traditional subjects such as math, science,histroy,poetry,music,public speaking.
