Spirit of the Sun Elder’s Program Hours of Physical Activity among Elderly in different community’s over a 3 month period.

Work Experience: AmeriCorps TCCC: Working to promote a healthy life style on the Hoopa reservation in community development, education, environmental, and social. Spirit of the Sun Elder’s Program: Proactively working alongside with various programs to improve the eating choices of the elderly. Engaging in physical activities and harvesting traditional Apache food. Native American Women’s Health Resource Center: Empowering Yankton Sioux women in the “Family is Scared” curriculum. Providing resources to women and children who are victims of Domestic Violence.

Work Experience (cont.) VALLEY LIFE Changing Lives. Creating Community. Directly working with individuals whom have multiple developmental disabilities to aid them in their personal goals and self sufficient individuals. WMAT Juvenile Court Truancy Advocate: Collaborating with the tribal juvenile court systems, school districts, prosecution unit and juvenile judge to decrease the truancy rate.
