Competencies Recognize the “guidelines for consumers.” Understand the importance of consumer comparison research. Identify websites and magazines that can aid in consumer research. Practice consumer research for specific household items and a car.

5. Read and understand the warranty.

6. Read the contract terms carefully.

7. Read and follow the use and care guides.

8. Understand the Store’s Refund or exchange policy.

Keep all sales receipts, warranties and instructions.

10. Buy within your budget.

11. Check your bill for accuracy.

Exercise the right to protest.

Consumer Research Follow the WS as outlined. You will need to select five household items. Then you will need to select the best product for your needs. You will also have to pick a car that you are interested in and tell me if it is reliable. You can compare using the following two web sites: www.consumerguide.com or www.consumersearch.com.
