September 7-8, 2017 Each group is assigned a vocabulary word (check the notecard) Work together to formulate your sentence and then write it on the back board under your assigned word It cannot be the same sentence another group wrote! You have 7 minutes to have your sentence on the board!

Objectives You will create 1 thesis statement using practice prompts, assigned structure, and discussion among your group members You will read and annotate a fiction piece in order to answer a complex question requiring text evidence as well as text structure questions with your group members You will learn how to embed text evidence into an assertion with advanced commentary in order to form a innovative response to a higher order thinking question

Thesis Practice-15 mins. You have 15 minutes to write 1 thesis statement using the same method from last class period You may work with your group
